How long does it take for you to serve documents?
In truth, it really depends on a number of things. We will always try and make an attempt to serve within 24 hours of receiving instructions. Over 95% of our instructions are completed within 24 hours of receiving all the documents.
It takes us, on average, 2 working days to complete our instructions from receiving them.
What if my document needs notarising?
Some documents, typically those arising from proceedings issued abroad, may require us to arrange an appointment with a notary public to notarise the proof of service.
This typically extends the time it takes for us to complete the instruction and will also add an additional cost (typically £80-£100), but its a process we have to go through to ensure that its valid in the jurisdiction it was issued in.
What proof of service will I receive?
We’ve been serving documents long enough to know what proof of service is appropriate to a particular situation, but we’re happy to accommodate your requirements if you want something in a slightly non-standard format.
Private Individuals
When we’ve completed service and prepared the statement, we’ll send you a link for payment via debit card. Once payment is made, you’ll be sent a receipt and you’ll then be able to access the statements and any other documents.
Solicitors
If you’re a firm of solicitors, we’ll send our invoice to you electronically. We’ll also send a hardcopy, via post, with the original documents.
Local Authorities
If you’re a local authority, when we’ve completed service, we’ll request a purchase order. Once the purchase order is received, we’ll prepare the invoice and send it to the relevant department for processing.
